





Bernard Phillips is a very experienced advocate with over 35 years experience in all aspects of civil law, both for claimants and defendants, but with a particular emphasis on high value personal injury and disease. He has extensive experience of the coal mining industry. In addition to litigation, he will attend inquests on behalf of interested parties. He also has wide ranging experience of professional and clinical negligence cases. He has appeared in every level of Court, including the House of Lords. He has acted for a number of Police, Fire and Local Government Authorities, both by advising on matter of administrative law and the interpretation of regulations, and by appearing in such matters in the High Court, the Administrative Court and the Court of Appeal.
He has been a Recorder since 1989, and sits as a legal assessor for the General Medical Council and Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
