Court of Appeal adopt robust approach to alleged juror bias

On 14 March 2008 the Court of Appeal handed down judgment in R v Bakish Khan and others [2008] EWCA Crim 531. A number of defendants had appealed against their respective convictions on the ground of juror bias. The Court adopted a robust approach in all cases save one, in which the juror was an employee of the Crown Prosecution Service.
